Frequently Asked Questions

Here’s a selection of questions we think you may have.  If we’ve not answered your question, drop us a line at hello@apprenticenation.co.uk

Apprentice Nation is a new platform designed to raise awareness of and inform people about apprenticeships. We invite people to attend an Action Day to discover all that apprenticeships have to offer.  We then invite participants to an exclusive celebration gig.

Apprentice Nation Action Days are an opportunity to come and see what apprenticeships are really about: Network with businesses, entrepreneurs and businesses leaders, get tips and ask questions about how to get ahead. And take part in a social action project to help a local community. Each Action Day lasts about half a day and only those who attend get a gig ticket.

On the website click through to our Eventbrite page and all the planned Action Days are listed there.  Pick the one that best suits you and we’ll confirm at least 5 days prior to the event.

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee spaces to anyone who arrives at an Action Day who has not registered and signed up for the Action Day. Why not encourage your friend to sign up!

An Action Day lasts 5 hours which will include 2 hours of Social Action and 3 hours of networking with businesses, asking questions and getting some tips on how to land the role you want.

As part of the Action day will involve 2 hours of social action, wear clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. Some projects involve painting and gardening. It’s best to wear closed-toed shoes, not sandals or flip flops.

Snacks and water will be provided and a sandwich lunch. If you have any specific dietary needs, please inform us in advance.

Thorough risk assessments are taken prior to every project, to ensure the safety of all on site. All projects are staffed with at least one member of project staff trained in first aid.

Absolutely, Apprentice Nation welcomes everyone. If you would like to talk further about coming to our Action Days, please contact us at hello@apprenticenation.co.uk

Apprentice Nation tries to ensure that where possible, Action Days will go ahead despite poor weather conditions. However in extreme cases it may become necessary to call off an Action Day and in these instances we will do our best to notify all of our participants in plenty of time prior to project start time.

If you would like to stay involved with a partner after your Action Day, simply tick the box on your waiver which states you are happy to be contacted by the business you have worked with. You can find contact details of all of our business partners in the go far section on our website.

If you would like to stay involved with one of our charity partners after your Action Day, simply tick the box on your waiver which states you are happy to be contacted by the charity you volunteered for. You can find contact details of all of our charity partners on our website.

If you are over the age of 16, you can sign up to come to one of our Apprentice Nation Action Days and a chance to attend a gig with a World Class Artist. If you are between the ages of 16-18, a parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver that covers both the Action Day and the gig.
