Briony Turner is Co-President of Atlantic Records UK. With her award-winning team she is responsible for overseeing a roster of some of the UK’s most commercially successful and critically acclaimed artists, including; Anne-Marie, Charli XCX, Clean Bandit, Ed Sheeran, Jess Glynne, Joel Corry, Paolo Nutini, Mahalia, Plan B, Rudimental and Tion Wayne. She also presides over the continued UK success of Atlantic’s international stars, such as Ava Max, Bruno Mars, Burna Boy, Cardi B, Janelle Monáe, Lizzo, Portugal. The Man and twenty one pilots.

Briony was previously part of the Atlantic A&R team, establishing herself as one of the most dynamic A&Rs in the industry, winning awards for her accomplishments and working her way up to Co-Head of A&R.

Briony was instrumental in developing and breaking Jess Glynne who holds the record for the most number one singles by a British female solo artist. Jess’ debut album ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ has sold more than one million UK copies and her second album topped the UK album chart on its first week of release, with two number one sinlges in ‘These Days’ which Jess featured on as part of her come back and ‘I’ll Be There’.

Briony has also nutured the career of Grammy Award winning electronic pop collective Clean Bandit. Since Briony signed the band, they have landed four UK number one singles while accumulating billions of streams and becoming a huge global act. She currently works with a host of fresh talent signed to Atlantic including Darkoo, Dylan Fraser, Fred Again, Joel Corry, Maisie Peters, Nathan Dawe and Tion Wayne.

Briony started her career at 19 Entertainment in 2002 finding songs for Pop Idol winners and runner-ups. Having worked closely with Will Young on his most successful albums, she also looked after song-writers signed to the publishing company, 19 Songs. She then moved to Global Talent Publishing and while there was involved in the signings of Justin Hayward-Young (lead singer of The Vaccines), Al Shux (producer and co-writer of Jay-Z’s ‘Empire State of Mind’ and Kendrick and SZA’s ‘All The Stars’) and Ellie Goulding before joining Atlantic in 2011.
