Headie One, the first artist to emerge from the Drill scene with a UK Official Chart top #10 single, rise has been fast but not without validation every step of the way. The 28 year-old rapper born and raised on the streets ofTottenham, one of the figureheads of the burgeoning scene, drew inspiration from the smoothmelodics of southern and east coast Hip Hop to create his signature bouncy flow coupled with hisacute wordplay.

Here’s what Headie One had to say about Apprentice Nation:

“Apprentice Nation is a great opportunity for young people to get jobs they love. It’s important to work on keeping a positive outlook and finding your best path. For me, music was the language that did it for me. For someone else, it might be design, coding, sport or business. When you are just starting out, having something like Apprentice Nation is really helpful especially when you’re trying to find your way in the world. I can’t wait to get on stage with Apprentice Nation – it’s going to be an incredible show.”

BERWYN took just two weeks to write and record his debut mixtape, the Mercury Music Prize nominated DEMOTAPE/VEGA, but it distils a lifetime of experiences existing on the fringes of London life. It’s raw and authentic, both lyrically and sonically, each song revealing further layers of BERWYN’s life. If you want to know Berwyn’s story, it’s all there in DEMOTAPE/VEGA’tales of hope, hustle and struggle.

In just under a year BERWYN has released two full length mixtapes, countless cinematic videos, sold out his debut UK tour and landed in the top three of the prestigious BBC ‘Sound Of’ poll. This whirlwind 12 months culminated with the recent news of his debut release ‘DEMOTAPE/VEGA’ being nominated as one of the 12 Hyundai Mercury Music Prize ‘Albums of the Year’.

Over the last few years Jaz Karis has become a consistent figure at the forefront of the UK music scene. Occupying a space between R&B, Soul, Amapiano and Afropop, the South Londoner is a fiercely independent artist who regularly receives enthusiastic support from the likes of DJ Target, Twin B, Ace, Sian Anderson, Leah Davies, Manny Norte and Diplo. Her now iconic COLORS Berlin session in late 2018 is a reflection of this, amassing over 12 million views to date, and recent single with producer Juls ‘Soweto Blues’ is on 11m Spotify streams, her second song to reach the impressive milestone. Jaz is gearing up for her fourth EP release in November 2022 and her biggest headline show yet at Lafayette in London.

Here’s what Jaz Karis had to say about Apprentice Nation:

I’m so looking forward to performing with Apprentice Nation and sharing my story to date. My message to people out there who feel a bit stuck is that if you really want something you shouldn’t give up, quitting is never an option. Learn from your mistakes & networking is key.
