Harrylynne has worked in DfE since 2015 and is currently working in the Higher and Further Education Group (HEFE) as part of the Director General’s Office, leading on the Working Better Together Programme.

Harrylynne is a communications professional and has delivered excellence in engagement across a wide range of organisations for over 10 years and has led communication strategy development at a national level, along with hands-on delivery. Harrylynne was previously Head of Strategic Communications at the Cabinet Office and more recently in Capital Directorate as Communications lead for the School Estates Capability Project.

Harrylynne is extremely passionate about Diversity, Equality and Inclusion and has initiated the development and implementation of new initiatives to encourage innovation, improve employee engagement and provide visible role models for staff. Her focus has been on supporting the career development of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) staff, by promoting goal setting, self-managed development and has created several fast-track coaching and development programmes and reverse mentoring schemes.
