Talk to Laura about working in media and technology, building a brand, what is marketing? Life at Google

Laura is Head of Insight for Google EMEA. Laura’s first job was actually in Music, at Ministry of Sound, helping launch the brand Internationally. Much as travelling around and putting on parties was lots of fun, she then decided to move into brand consultancy. Over the next 10 years, she built up the agency she’d joined – Sparkler – into an award winning consultancy and became their Managing Director. The agency worked with clients such as Channel 4, Diageo, Unilever, Amazon and Facebook, helping them understand their consumers and build strategies to drive their marketing and product development. Then 5 years ago she decided to leave agency-life and join Google.
