Last night’s show was bright enough to light up the whole of South London! UK Hip-Hop legend Headie One, Mercury-nominated rapper Berwyn and R&B newcomer Jaz Karis took to the stage at the Clapham Grand, performing exclusively for members of Apprentice Nation 

Yes, that’s right. The Apprentice Nation crew were out in full force, filming the Autumn 2022 concert and capturing all the vibes on camera. 

Here’s the best bit… even if you weren’t there, you get to watch the online premiere on 27 October. 

The show is presented by Capital Xtra DJ and Apprentice Nation mentor, Remel London and also features our very own Skills Leaders and members of the Youth Advisor’s Network standing up to talk about their experiences.

“Apprentice Nation is a great opportunity for young people to get jobs they love. It’s important to work on keeping a positive outlook and finding your best path. For me, music was the language that did it for me. For someone else, it might be design, coding, sport or business. When you are just starting out, having something like Apprentice Nation is really helpful, especially when you’re trying to find your way in the world.“

Get ready for an incredible stripped down performance with guitar from the brilliant R&B rising star, Jaz Karis. She also had a lot to say about her journey as a music artist to date:

“My message to people out there who feel a bit stuck is that if you really want something you shouldn’t give up, quitting is never an option. Learning from your mistakes and networking is key.“

Multi-talented UK rapper, producer and songwriter Berwyn not only lit up the stage with his inspiring tracks and lyrics, he also talked to Remel about how important he considers Apprentice Nation to be for young people today:

“Apprentice Nation is so vital. It’s so important to have people around who can help you to find direction and purpose in life. I found mine in music – that’s where I could stay true to myself and do my own thing, whatever else was going on around me. I’m looking forward to inspiring others to find their path and shape their future“
