Apprentice Nation is elevating the careers education game with exciting new content, and it’s now more accessible than ever. The early careers platform has teamed up with EE to launch a fresh series on EE’s LearnSmart platform, created with Digitas UK, and designed to help teens discover career paths and shape their future. By blending insights from music artists and industry experts, Apprentice Nation engages young people in a unique way. Now alongside big names like BAFTA, Calm, and the Football Association, Apprentice Nation is bringing an inspiring collection of new videos to the EE LearnSmart hub.
Career Matchmaker Series
The ‘Career Matchmaker’ series features mentors such as Sonia Sodha (Journalist), Remel London (Radio Presenter) and Lara Thompson (Software Developer). These experts share their stories and advice to help young people find their way through the often confusing world of career choices.
With youth unemployment still sitting high at 13.6% for 16-24 year olds in the UK (according to the latest data from the office of national statistics), resources like Apprentice Nation and EE LearnSmart are more crucial than ever. They’re here to support both young people and their parents, as they navigate career planning and skills development.
In this new series, mentors deliver tips and engaging insights in short, snappy videos, making career exploration more relatable and engaging for young people whatever their background or goals.
Kelly Engstrom, Brand and Demand Generation Communications Director, EE commented:

Apprentice Nation’s fresh approach, which mixes learning with entertainment, brings a new perspective to skills development. By showcasing real stories from industry experts, we’re helping teens realise there are many pathways to success.”
Stephen Greene CBE, CEO of RockCorps and Producer of Apprentice Nation
“Bringing Apprentice Nation content to the EE LearnSmart platform is a great collaborative moment. Now, even more young people can discover the wide variety of career paths open to them. At Apprentice Nation, we’re passionate about giving young people – particularly those from historically underrepresented communities – the tools and confidence they need to take their first steps into the working world. The EE LearnSmart platform is the perfect space to showcase this content, where young people can engage with it in a way that feels both authentic and accessible.”
Apprentice Nation’s unique approach starts with using music to engage and inspire young people. The early careers platform features some of the UK’s top music artists like RAYE, Ghetts and Krept & Konan, alongside industry professionals, all sharing their journeys to demonstrate that there’s no single path to success. Through stories, tips, and advice, the content empowers young people to navigate challenges and grab opportunities, whatever their background.
Apprentice Nation has reached thousands of young people across the UK through live events, mentoring, and on-demand training. With a growing community of over 26,000 participants, Apprentice Nation shines a spotlight on alternative career paths such as apprenticeships. A recent survey revealed that 85% of participants gained new work-ready skills, while 75% reported a boost in confidence regarding their future.
