Ghetts is increasingly recognised as one of the most vital, talented and enduring artists to emerge from the UK’s grime scene. Born Justin Clarke, the East Londoner combines razor sharp rhymes delivered with crystal clear diction, a healthy dose of humour, and creative, intelligent wordplay.

In a time where individuality is underrated, I feel it’s important to encourage young people to be themselves, after all they are next in line to carry the responsibility of changing the world. I can’t wait to perform for apprentice nation on the 22nd of April I believe in being fearless and seizing every opportunity that’s for you

Young T & Bugsey

Nottingham duo Young T & Bugsey known for finishing each others sentences, as well as their hits ‘Strike A Pose’ & the viral ‘Don’t Rush’ which had over 79,000 TikTok videos made to it last year.

Young T: “Supporting people to find their path in life is a big part of what I do and Apprentice Nation is an amazing platform for that, We’ve been through rough times and we’ve needed mentors in the past – people who’ve given us things to think about. We can relate to the challenges people are facing today and can’t wait to get on stage, share our story and help others feel inspired.”

Bugsey: “We’ve got to keep learning and also celebrate the wins on the journey. That’s why we’re joining Apprentice Nation; to celebrate the future and the opportunities that lie ahead. It’s been a difficult year for everyone and we’re happy we can show others that we can still have a good time and keep moving forwards.”

Known for her no-holds barred lyrics and straight talking, whether it’s on or off the mic, Ray BLK (real name Rita Ekwere) is going to speak her mind. The 26 year-old artist is celebrated for music that makes a statement and her new single “Lovesick”, recent track “Warriors” the lead song from the hugely acclaimed ROCKS film and forthcoming album prove that the ultimate girl’s girl is back with messages of tough love, a catalogue of quotables and a renewed focus on self-love.

I’m beyond excited to be working with Apprentice Nation to raise awareness of the diverse paths that anyone, no matter their background or gender, can access today. Coming from an underprivileged background myself in a council home with a single parent pushed me to be my best and made me determined to create a better future for myself and I want young women, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds like myself to have those opportunities too. I’m proud to be working to level the playing field, not just in the music industry but in career and life journeys, whatever path people choose.

If the future is female, then it has already started. Diana De Brito is the epitome of a new generation of female artists – young, talented and self-confident. In her music, the 25-year-old daughter of an Angolan musician combines time less soul and jazz in the tradition of Nat King Cole and Erykah Badu with modern trap and R’n’B. She calls it Urban Jazz, some would say it is Neo Soul – it’s all true, because IAMDDB is anything but one-dimensional.

I’m proud to be joining Apprentice Nation and supporting learning opportunities for everyone. It’s been tough for all this year but especially those from underrepresented backgrounds who lack visibility and positive role models in the workforce. It’s really important that people have the confidence and belief to put themselves out there. Apprentice Nation helps people from all communities and backgrounds build the skills to do this. I’m looking forward to sharing my music, sharing the love and supporting people through whatever challenging times they’re going through. Positive vibes to lift others is what I’m all about; and to never stop learning
