“The first rule is everyone dances!”
Those were the words of Kojey Radical’s DJ, Eli, as the Apprentice Nation headliner took to the stage last week at The Garage – an iconic music and club venue in North London.
No lie, this Apprentice Nation concert was next level. The spotlight was on the phenomenal multi-genre artist Kojey Radical, bringing the house down with his diverse beats, incredible rhymes and creating pure magic throughout the show. Hosted by the amazing Becca Dudley, this free concert was all about big energy, spontaneous dancing and moments of inspiration powered by music.

The Garage buzzed with electric energy as DJ Andre kicked off the night with some sick beats, setting the stage for Kojey’s powerful performance of ‘Silk’. The vibes were off the charts with DJ Eli joining Kojey on stage for a killer rendition of ‘Pay Back’, as well as ‘Pusherman’ which ignited the crowd who were all free dancing together.
Beyond the beats, Kojey got real about overcoming depression, emphasising that our daily experiences shape who we are. He addressed the mental health struggles of our generation, urging us to be strong in the face of unanswered questions.
“What you live through day to day is your experience. I’m just here to promise you you have the strength to carry on and get through that.”
This led perfectly into his next track, ‘Can’t Go Back’.
In the YouTube Premiere, Becca Dudley and Kojey dug deep into topics like discipline, the early days of Kojey’s music career, and even shared stories of gigs gone wrong. The track ‘Gangsta’ took on new meaning as Kojey revealed it was inspired by his mother, whom he described as “an example of what hard work can achieve.” The concert wrapped up with a soul-stirring performance of ‘Gangsta’, leaving the Apprentice Nation crowd buzzing with excitement, not to mention the Lucozade and popcorn giveaways!
